Welcome to the airborne museum.

Situated in the north of the Cotentin region, within 3000m² of parkland close to the church, this museum honours the legendary struggle of the brave american paratroopers from the 82nd and 101st airborne divisions that dropped from the skies of Sainte-Mère-Eglise during the night between the 5th and 6th of june 1944.

Take a look at exhibition on the airborne invasion of Normandy, which is full of remnants and photos from the era. The museums 3 buildings are a testament and a memorial to the soldiers who gave their lives for the freedom of future generations.

Visiting the Sainte Mère Eglise Airborne Museum is a moving experience, which will give you an idea of the harrowing experience the soldiers faced in and around Saint Mère Eglise and it's church. This memorial museum, dedicated to the lives of our liberators, is full of extraordinary accounts as well as personal memories of the experience.
